I'm an author, historian, and pop culture writer living in San Francisco, California.  This blog is where I bring together my two greatest interests: Star Wars and History.  If it happened "A Long Time Ago," it's fair game for me.

As a Historian and Writer
I am the author and co-author of multiple Star Wars books, including Star Wars Absolutely Everything You Need to Know  and Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia from DK Publishing. My work can also be found on StarWars.com, Marvel.com, Marvel's Augmented Reality app, and runDisney.com.

Education
In 2008 I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in History.  My greatest interests lie in the interwar period and the Second World War.

Professional

In my professional life, I am a player insights manager at Electronic Arts, working primarily on Star Wars.  I get to play video games for a living and talk to fellow fans about how they game.

Previous to EA, I worked in consumer insights and brand building for the world's largest CPG company - driving strategy for billion dollar brands every day.  I specialized in digital, social media, and retail marketing.

Personal
I live in San Francisco with my wife, Jennifer.  We previously lived in Indiana, Cincinnati, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
