Late last night I worked on the shoulder shoes. There was one piece that the router seemed off in one place, but the dremel made quick work of it. I cut some dowell rods to align all the layers and began glueing. Follow Matthew Henrick's hints and instructions and you will be fine.
Next up is some wood filler, but mostly Bondo to fill in some gaps and smooth everything out like its a solid hunk of metal. These will be the first parts that get painted. I have lots of sanding ahead of me.
